Tumblr Blogs I Really Like
Lots of people ask me what the point is of Tumblr. I kind of like it because it gives me the opportunity to follow some very entertaining and interesting posters, such as:

The Death of Film
Someone somewhere is holding the last celluloid movie camera ever made. It probably isn’t me, as I’ve never made a film on film. Perhaps too late now.
Instead I can whack up the gain on a Sony F3 to 30db for a skeuomorphic film grain effect. Swings and roundabouts.

FILM: Batman Year One
I wasn’t a big fan of Batman Begins. Not sure why, just didn’t buy into the origin story with all the ninjas, Liam Neeson etc. The Scarecrow was a bit of a crap villain. Casting Tom Wilkinson, a British actor as Carmine Falcone the Italian Mafia boss was also pretty dumb, especially when THIS guy was available.

The Kraken's Lair Discovered →
I love this story for so many reasons. Most of all, that the ancient Kraken was so bad ass that it used the skeletons of dead ichthyosaurs/shonisaurs to create a giant self portrait of itself.
